Articles of Faith

 "Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things
which are most surely believed among us,..."  (Luke 1:1)

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is without error in the original autographs and is the sole authority for faith and practice.

God

We believe there is one God existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. They are one in essence, co-eternal and co-equal in every divine attribute.
 
God created the heavens, the earth and all that is in them in six literal days. He created mankind in innocence.
 
Jesus Christ, being God and man, laid down His life at Calvary and rose from the dead on the third day to redeem mankind from sin.
 
The Holy Spirit indwells every true believer from the moment of salvation baptizing them into the Body of Christ, the Universal Church. He sanctifies, teaches and comforts the child of God.

The Fall of Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God. He voluntarily transgressed and fell from his sinless state the consequence of which all mankind are now sinners, not only by birth, but by choice and are therefore under just condemnation without defense or excuse.

Salvation

We believe a sinner is saved only by grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Salvation is evidenced by a changed life, one of faith and good works.

The Local Church

We believe that a local church is a congregation of baptized believers. Each believer has a spiritual gift with which to serve in the local church, to evangelize, disciple, encourage, and comfort. Each local church is autonomous, its only Head being Jesus Christ.
